Discover Our Community

Faith & Creativity

Welcome to This Wroughten Life—a Christian community inspired by Titus 2:3-5.

Our purpose is to equip believers with practical skills, creativity, and mentorship that bridge generations, foster discipleship, and honor God in everyday life. Our platform serves as a hub for showcasing forgotten skills through cross-generational interviews, highlighting activities like knitting, crocheting, homesteading, and more. We also feature a special focus on art and artists, interviewing those who create works inspired by prayer and time with God, exploring how their art reflects scripture, and encouraging other creatives to seek divine inspiration in their own creations.

Empowering Faith Through Creativity

This Wroughten Life exists to glorify God by inspiring a creative Christian community rooted in Titus 2:3-5. Through engaging video and written content, we share stories of generational mentorship, creative skills, artistic inspiration, and biblical truths. We emphasize the importance of learning and practicing skills that have always been meant to be shared in community. Viewers are invited to engage by witnessing mentorship and artistry in action, being encouraged to apply these lessons in their own lives. With a vision for local workshops and events, we aim to transform online connections into meaningful, faith-driven community growth.

Church Interior

Doctrine

This Wroughten Life is not a church but a vibrant Christian community inspired by Titus 2:3-5. We aim to be a conduit for learning, mentorship, and creativity across generations, equipping believers to live out biblical truth and faith in practical, Spirit-filled ways. Through discipleship, traditional skills, and creative expression, we seek to foster a deep connection to God and one another.

Our Core Beliefs

At This Wroughten Life, we are committed to a Spirit-filled journey of faith rooted in the authority of God’s Word.

We hold to these core beliefs:

Scripture

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant Word, the ultimate authority for life, faith, and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17). It guides us in all aspects of our lives and serves as the foundation for our teaching, creativity, and community.

God

We worship one God in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God the Father reigns with love and justice. Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, is our Savior and Redeemer, who died for our sins and rose again to offer eternal life. The Holy Spirit empowers and sanctifies believers, guiding us in truth and spiritual growth (Matthew 28:19, John 14:26).

Man

We believe that man is a special creation of God, made in His image, but that through the sin of the first man, Adam, as is recorded in Genesis, mankind fell so that all men are sinners and need salvation in order to have reconcilation with God.

Salvation

Salvation is a gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone. His sacrifice on the cross reconciles us to God and offers the hope of eternal life (Ephesians 2:8-9). We are called to repentance, faith, and transformation as we walk in relationship with Him.

The Church

The church exists to glorify God, make disciples, and serve the world in His name (Ephesians 4:4-6, Matthew 28:19-20). We believe that all christians are called to be members of a local church body (Hebrews 10:25). Though we are not a church organization, as Christians we are part of Christ’s global church—a diverse, Spirit-filled community united in faith, love, and mission.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in living Spirit-filled lives, relying on the Spirit’s presence for guidance, power, and sanctification. The Spirit equips us to bear fruit, share the gospel, and glorify God (Galatians 5:22-23, Acts 1:8, John 14:6, Ephesians 2:10).

Hope & Eternity

We affirm the return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal life for believers. This hope inspires us to live with purpose, joy, and steadfast faith (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Revelation 21:1-4).

Mission & Creativity

We desire to embody God’s love and creativity in every aspect of life. Inspired by His identity as Creator, we seek to steward our gifts and talents for His glory, connecting generations and communities in faith, skill, and worship as we reflect His image.

The Heart behind This Wroughten Life

This Wroughten Life was born from a passion for fostering relationships, sharing skills, and encouraging spiritual growth across generations—values often overlooked in today’s world of instant gratification and individualism. With my background in ministry and creativity, I felt called to create a space where faith and artistry intersect, allowing people to connect deeply and grow together in meaningful ways. The name 'This Wroughten Life' was chosen intentionally. 'Wrought' is a term considered archaic, much like the skills and traditions we seek to revive. Learning new skills often feels like a rough attempt, but each effort brings us closer to creating something beautiful, just as the word itself signifies something shaped with care and purpose. While 'wroughten' may initially evoke thoughts of something ‘rotten,’ I aim to shift that perception. The challenges and imperfections we face in learning are part of the process. It is in these efforts that the beauty of creation lies. 'Wroughten' reflects this journey, where every effort is artistically shaped, just as our lives are by our Creator. Even the 'rotten' experiences we face in life are ultimately shaped by God into expressions of His grace, reminding us that He can turn all things to good, forming beauty from the very things we once might have considered wasted or broken.
